Time

These days time passes by so quickly. But the funny thing is that I've never learned to cherish time despite realizing my stay here is short.

What makes me so relaxed and unhurried? Time, as depicted in Kim Ki-duk's film, Time is irreversible. Memory doesn't count here because you're thinking of the past in the present, and doing exactly that takes minutes (hopefully not hours or days) off of your lifespan. Passivity comes to mind. That's something immediate. Perhaps fear?

Everything changes: milk, our parents, and our childhood photos. Once staring at my old photos, I couldn't help wondering, "Have I really changed?" Do we really know what we were like at 9 years of age? Are those moments of naivety truly laughable or is it because we're thinking with an older brain?
